### [[šŸ¤– The Clash of Human and Machine Art]] #Artificial_Intelligence #Culture #Technology #Technosophy #Art Art communities are freaking out over Artificially generated artwork.. Many online communities are fiercely banning their members from sharing AI generated art. Some outright describing it as "lacking artistic merit". I understand the fear, the confusion, the defensiveness. After all, if a "real artist" spends days on a piece, for him to then be overshadowed by someone who "clicked a button" and getting similar or MORE recognition, it just makes their effort feel ... worthless. However, time will prove that this reaction is not sustainable. How will such policies be enforced? How would someone know that the artwork is NOT created by artificial intelligence? The line will keep blurring until the art community embraces the change and agrees on new ways to define art. Instead of rejecting, I believe art communities should start looking on how to EMBRACE IT! I believe that this cultural clash will be one of the most rough and controversial in history. Fiercer than when the camera was introduced. Fiercer than when digital was introduced. Why? Simple: Because there is NO way to prove if a certain artwork was created by human or machine. The fear is no longer about "how much effort went into this" .. the fear is about "We can't even know how was this made" ![[AIartmeme.png]]<br> Originally Shared on: [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/theali/posts/pfbid02CUfT1j1s1MToiyqSBy16Riv9y2HH1ErhKw4huQHoXuwa6FYoa2pocD154XDWD25Ul) September 13, 2022 > [!seealso] Related Thoughts > > Related thoughts will appear here when available.
