# [[πŸŽ’ School Discipline Suffering]] #Education #Generations #Society #Values I just heard a very telling statement from a school principal when asked "Why do schools disallow students from wearing accessories?" .. She answered, "We used not to allow it, but this is rarely enforced nowadays. Years ago, we used to be much stricter on such issues, but in the last 10 years, these issues have become our least concern compared to the other problems we face today." I vividly remember as a child how VERY minor issues used to be grand and very significant in the context of school. Wearing the wrong gym shorts, girls wearing nail polish, getting caught with a music player, or even ATTEMPTING to talk in class could get you different forms of punishment. Kids did them anyways, but we did them knowing that we are basically committing a crime in "school universe" ! I can only imagine the suffering of today's educators as they struggle with the lack of discipline, superficiality, and carelessness pandemic.
