We might also see localized spinoffs, sequels, maybe an alternate timeline.
For instance, imagine a movie dedicated to the Lebanese marvel audience where spiderman gets tangled in Beirut's power and communication lines.
This will very likely be facilitated by all forms of generative AI.
This is also essential for the survival of the mainstream movie industry, as the movie experience is getting ultra diluted due to the studios hyperfocus on safe bets. After all, everyone is trying to find the best selling formula, which eventually means that everything will start looking/feeling the same, and the global mainstream cinema will become so boring and predictable and homogeneous.
We are already seeing this play out on mainstream YouTube. Where more and more content looks the same, since the goal is uniform.
This is usually the phase where breakthrough industry-wide changes emerge. Since being DIFFERENT will become what's attractive.
