But I believe that major financial investments into AI are premature, and over the long run, a lot of them have a high chance for loss. Reason: AI will likely be HEAVILY regulated by governments and global governing bodies. Does this mean investing in AI is bad? Not necessarily. We do not yet know the scope and effect of those regulations. Some potentially strict regulations will at best slow development and limit AI applications.
